How To Remove Map Marker Skyrim

Click anywhere on the map (not on a location) and it will ask if you want to delete your custom/pre set destination marker (or something like that). Current Character: Mayard - Lvl 25 Imperial, Imperial Legion, Heavy Armored Mage-Warrior, One Handed War Axe Lover. Found Compass Tuner, which can remove player's location marker on map, BUT. The map always centers on my location ANYWAY when I open it. So all I've really eliminated is the directional info. I still see where I am on the map. I can assure you. I don't mind quest and some location markers. Any real map would have that.

I think it was an issue caused by installing a Pastel map marker mod when adding all of my mods to a new PC. The first time I ran it, I got some kind of error from Skyui, I think, but it was vague and just said it had a display issue. Being that I had just installed quite a few mods, I didn't know which one was causing it. After disabling mod after mod that I suspected could have caused the missing map icons issue, I tried running the Vanilla game with no mods at all, and the markers were still missing.

So I tried verifying the skyrim files in steam. No luck. Deleted and reinstalled the game including all the files I could find. Still the same. Tried running in a new Mod Organizer profile with its own set of INIs.

Can anyone offer me some assistance on how to fix this?
