Is there anything in the pipeline to get DD-WRT working on the WRT54G3G. I have read all the stuff in the forums and nobody seems to have achieved this yet Please, i don't want to be stuck with the linksys firmware for ever..that's scary! |

There is some info about it on the Open WRT site, where they say 'This device seems to be a normal WRT54G with a CardBus.'

Is there a part of the GUI that deals with them? I don't think that there is. The main reason that i need this router is for the card support Could that possibly me rectified? Or is that unlikely? |

MM well, this can be true globally, but as in Finland for example 3G and 'derivate' connection types are nowadays relatively cheap to get, hence in Finalnd there is pretty high usage and groving for these type of connections. while majority for now uses it mainly for with/trough cell-phone, they will start wanting something like this in the future more. Well this particular device might come and go, but sure I'd like to see support for it. Also I know it is propably frustrating job to do it and only handfull of peoples ever uses the firmware. Also using GPRS and so on would require more extensive backhaul to get working, meaning the settings etc for the GPRS connection.. Then again some users might be more than happy with manual connecting, easy enough to copypaste in regular linux, maybe wiith dd-wrt too? I know I need only to write 'pon dna' to fire connection up and 'poff dna' to shut it down, 'dna' is my ISP name and also the filename for the script. Would it be possible to have some 'preliminary' build with neccesary programs, like pon and poff and so forth that one can dig up that is needed, and then if anyone is interested to make any sort of GUI for this too.. Also crossed in mind that one could look how linksys have done it.. But as said, I'm no programmer so it is just me wanting something I don't even owe currently _________________ Site 1: P3 1GHz Coppermine with DD-WRT v24 as main router 2x Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 with DD-WRT v24 as AP Site 2: AMD64 4200+ Dualcore AM2 with DD-WRT v24 as main router Buffalo WHR-HP-G54 with DD-WRT v24 as AP |

I would love to once i have the hardware, should be here in a couple of days. Erm.i'm not actually sure what you want me to do there, is there a howto or something with what you want me to provide. Also, does the Linksys GPL not provide some info on the card configuration. I am not a programmer, so i have no idea myself. |

Hi Eko(or anybody else who might know), Which version of the DD-WRT firmware should I install on a WRT54G3G to get the performance you describe above. I asked this question in another thread and was directed here. http://www.dd-wrt.com/phpBB2/viewtopic.php?t=39472 Thanks M |
